About Us

 

For over 50 years our club has been welcoming residents to Greenwich and providing a forum to meet new friends.  Whether your interests run to sports, dining, reading or just socializing, we have something for you.  We have no membership criteria, we welcome both life-long residents or new arrivals and anywhere in between.  Anyone with an interest in meeting new people.

 

 

Governance

The Greenwich Newcomers Club is run by a board of directors, all volunteers.  We typically have around 18 on the board and another 12 running our interest groups.  We are always happy to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in the running of the club.

Club Benefits

As a member of the Greenwich Newcomers Club you will have access to numerous groups such as recipe club and book club.  We also run a number of stand-alone events each year. We run a number of family events and couple / adults evening nights.  We send out regular emails detailing upcoming events.

 

 

Club Dues

Because we are a not-for-profit social club, membership dues pay for our operating costs (website, insurance, printing, postage, etc.).  We aim to make events self-funding  or subsidize ticket fees where possible.  Board and Committee members are volunteers and receive no remuneration for their work with the Club.
